Method
- UAT-UK: reschedule or cancel for a full refund at least 48 hours before the appointment; a bursary stays available for January only if you cancel more than 48 hours before.
- We turn your appointment into an exact moment in your test centre's time zone and subtract 48 elapsed hours, so a clock change is handled correctly.
- LNAT: its booking page says 48 hours, while its payment page says noon UK time on the second working day before the test date (Monday to Friday, excluding English bank holidays). We calculate both.
- When the LNAT rules disagree, we show both and say that acting before the earlier one meets both wordings. We never call either one safe on its own.
- The LNAT working-day rule does not say which calendar date applies to a test outside the UK, so for other time zones we do not calculate it.
Uncertainty and limits

- A replacement slot depends on availability, which no rule can promise.
- Access arrangements can change how you reschedule (for example by phone).

How late can I reschedule the ESAT or TARA?
UAT-UK says at least 48 hours before your test appointment. After that, not sitting means losing the test fee.
Can I get a refund if I cancel the ESAT?
Yes, a full refund if you cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled test, according to UAT-UK's FAQs.
Can I reschedule the LNAT?
Yes, free of charge, but the LNAT's own pages give two different notice rules: 48 hours before the test, or noon UK time on the second working day before the test date. Act before the earlier of the two.
Do I get a refund if I cancel the LNAT?
No. The LNAT Consortium does not refund candidates who decide not to sit, whether they paid by card, voucher or bursary.
Does rescheduling change which universities accept my test?
It can. Oxford and Cambridge need the ESAT or TARA in October and the LNAT by 15 October 2026, so moving later may miss a deadline.
