Check your course accepts a January sitting before you book. Cambridge applicants in the ordinary October round must sit in October.

When a tutor is worth it
One module will not move
If timed sets and worked solutions have not helped after a few weeks, a few sessions on that module can find where your method breaks.

Questions people ask
Do you need an ESAT tutor?
No. The ESAT tests maths and science you are already studying, under time pressure. Timed practice with worked solutions is what moves most scores. A tutor helps if one module stays stuck.
Can I sit the ESAT in January?
It depends on your course. Every Imperial ESAT course accepts January, as does UCL Electronic and Electrical Engineering. Most Oxford and Cambridge courses are October only, and January is not a retake: you sit once per cycle. Check who can sit in January.
Is the 30-day pass enough for January?
Only if its 30 days cover your test date from the day you buy. For January testing that means buying in December. ESAT Pro's access dates are shown before you pay.
